It is promotion season for may companies and firms, but being promoted is not the only sign of career progression. This week I read an interesting article by Caroline Flanagan “What it means to progress” and I share a quote of a paragraph that stuck with me:
The Oxford English Dictionary definesĀ progressionĀ asĀ “a gradual movement or development towards a destination or a more advanced state”. Or in my words, it’s not about the destination. It’s about the journey you take to get there and who you become along the way.

This is why I keep a journal. To explore the journey, to track and reflect on progress and to celebrate the small things.
