Welcome to the next post in the Coffee and Conversations Series. In case you missed the previous posts we have started this series to capture and share advice shared by some of the inspirational women in our personal lives. In each of these posts, we will write about some of the key takeaways that resonated with us and that we thought might help others and help inspire further conversations in your own personal network.
Your Power Comes From Your Network.
Don’t be afraid of being powerful and harnessing the power that you have already and the power that you gain from your personal network. Power can be seen as a “dirty” word. However, you should embrace that power that you have. I had a recent conversation about maximising your network and the unique power that comes from it.
I was inspired by the conversation, because too often I get put off from making a direct ask, or properly utilising my network to “get ahead”.
Don’t be afraid or embarrassed about using the power that you get from your network. Particularly, if you have spent time building and nurturing that network. Use it and the equity you gain from it.
Remember: Everyone else is doing it and you should too. So remember the power of your network and your allies.
