You don’t need a portfolio career to get to the top
Moving companies can be a career progression tool. However, it is important to remember that a portfolio career is not the only way to do this. You don’t need a portfolio career to get to the top. Yes, it works for some people. However, loyalty can also be a way to the top. So provided that your company respects and rewards you to earn your loyalty – being loyal can have its rewards. You will know the business and the people within the business to help you carve out your progression path and this can be (and should be) used to your advantage.
