What is Unconscious Bias?
Unconscious Bias is often defined as prejudice or unsupported judgments in favor of or against one thing, person, or group as compared to another, in a way that is usually considered unfair. Unconscious bias occurs automatically as the brain makes quick judgments based on past experiences and background.

How to Beat Unconsious Bias
We all have our own bias. That is the reality. However, it is important to be aware of our bias and own them. It is important to celebrate our differences.
Start with you.
Consider – How diverse are you in your personal life? What are you doing to combat your own personal bias? What are you actively doing to be more inclusive?
Start from the ground up. Our job is to make a difference. Be curious – if you don’t know someone or don’t understand them – Ask questions find out more. Don’t just stop and ignore and hope unconscious bias goes away.
